Jay Resseguie, M.Ed. - Founder

Jay is on an exhilarating journey toward an Educational Doctorate in Leadership at the University of Dayton, to be completed in May 2025. With a Master’s in Special Education (emphasis in Autism) from the University of Maryland and a dual Bachelor’s in Elementary and Special Education from Northern Arizona University, his academic foundation is robust. His certifications span teaching from Kindergarten to Secondary School, specializing in various learning impairments and emotional challenges. A native of Ohio, Jay’s career started as a classroom teacher in Wisconsin. His outstanding career as an educator later lead him to military-connected school districts across Europe, where he has worked in multiple school capacities for 21 years.

Now, Jay teaches kindergarten, having previously excelled as an Instructional Coach, Strategic Instructor, and Leveled Literacy Interventionist. His roles have ranged from teaching multi-age classes to supporting students with severe learning impairments. Jay is active in professional associations like the National Education Association (NEA) and Federal Employee Association (FEA), and he has held leadership roles and driven initiatives in assessments, reading proficiency, equity, inclusion, social-emotional learning, strategic goal setting, and school action plans. Jay has been recognized for his dedication and was nominated for Teacher of the Year multiple times, most recently in 2024.

Kat brings over 25 years of diverse experience in educational and administrative roles. She has spent 8 years teaching in K-12 public and military-connected schools as a certified classroom teacher (NH and ME) and specialist within the U.S. education system. Additionally, she is trained, licensed, and experienced working in European schools. Raised bilingual in Greece and educated at an international school, Kat cultivated a profound passion for ESL, multilingual learning, second language acquisition, foreign languages, and intercultural education. Recognized as an expert in multilingual and immersion learning across curricula, she leverages her deep understanding of both the European and U.S. educational systems to support private and public institutions. Kat has successfully guided numerous organizations in adopting effective teaching and learning practices from one system to the other, fostering cross-cultural and academic excellence.

As a published author and University Lecturer, she trained future educators in innovative classroom management strategies and progressive teaching methods. Besides having completed a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Education, Geography and Literature at University of Koblenz-Landau, Germany, she received her PhD in Educational Communication from University of Luxembourg in Luxembourg. Committed to innovation in education, Kat is passionate about empowering both teachers and students with practical, impactful support, and she strongly advocates for self-directed professional development, in order to strengthen workplace happiness amongst teachers and administrators.
